Kunming Dali
Home to Emerald Lake Park, a relatively large local park with a lake, playground, outdoor gym, murals and walking tracks, also a favorited gathering spot of locals. A 20 minute walk away lies the Yuantong Buddhist temple, one of the oldest Buddhist temples of Kunming. The original backpacker hang-out in Yunnan, was once the place to chill, with its stunning location sandwiched between mountains and Erhai Lake. Dali is known for some of its popular attractions, which include: Yunnan Shaxi Ancient Town, Cangshan Mountain, Erhai Lake, Dali Ancient, Xizhou Town.
Xizhou Shaxi
A small ancient town straddled between the Cong mountain and Hrhai lake, Xizhou is only 40 min away from the hustle and bustle of Dali town. Historically Xizhou is the essential place for military affairs during the period of Nanzhao Kingdom. A small village with a pleasant climate, surrounded by green mountains. Old cobble-stoned alleyways still look like they did a thousand years ago. Different minorities, including the Yi and Bai, still clash every Friday during the Sideng Market when mountain villagers come down from the hills to trade their goods
Lijiang Shangri-la
A beautifully preserved ancient Chinese town, infused with cultural flavor. Strolling along the 800-year-old bridges and waterways of the world-famous Old Town district is like stepping back in time. Don’t miss the views atop Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and the Dongba cultural center of Jade Water Village. The capital of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province in southern China.
