DAY 01 : PHNOM PENH

Arrival at Phnom Penh airport and welcome by your guide. Installation at your hotel and first discovery of the capital. Visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda as well as the National Museum and its rich collection of sculptors mainly from Angkor. Then, visit of the hill of Wat Phnom and the Central Market if time allows
Dinner at restaurant along the Tonle Bassac River. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
DAY 02 : PHNOM PENH – MONDOLKIRI - SEN MONOROM
lunch and dinner included - night at Sen Monorom - 6h drive, 375km
Early drive to the province of Mondulkiri. On the way, tasting of a culinary specialty: the grilled tarantula! In the province of Kampong Cham, discovery the vast rubber plantations and the tyres Michelin factory. Continuation through the fertile plains of the province. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, the road is more sinuous and covered by jungle before reaching the town of Sen Monorom in the heart of Mondulkiri. Small provincial town surrounded by hills dotted with red savanna and traversed by dirty tracks.

DAY 03 : SEN MONOROM - MONDOLKIRI / HOMESTAY
lunch and dinner included - night in homestay - 1h drive, 35km
Departure from your hotel by car through the countryside on the red tracks. Meeting with the Bunong, ethnic group of the mountain living at the border of Vietnam. Rapid transfer by vehicle, then short walk on foot through the forest to observe the rare élépants of asia. Picnic lunch near a refreshing waterfall before enjoying a magical moment of swimming with the elephants. (30 min. Walk).
You reach your vehicle by foot through the forest to reach the village where you spend the night. Meet the locals and discover a family garden before being welcomed by the village healer who will explain you the plant medicine art. (1 hour walk)
Traditionnal dinner at homestay and tasting of local alcohol. Overnight with Bunong family. (1h drive, 1h walk)
DAY 04 : MONDOLKIRI - SEN MONOROM
lunch and dinner included - night at Sen Monorom - 3h drive, 55km
You will leave your guests before the breakfast. Drive through rubber and pepper plantations. Short walk to reach the rock overlooking the landscape where you will take your breakfast (tea, coffee, fruit and local specialties). Then, walk through the forest. A Bunong family will prepare your lunch in bamboo pieces cook over a wood fire. Swimming in the river, rest in hammocks and discussion with the family. (1h drive, 2 hours walk)
Picnic lunch by the river. In the afternoon, drive to one of the largest waterfall in Cambodia, Bou Sra waterfall and local tourist attractions. On the way back to Sen Monorom, visit of an orchard and tasting of the delicious Mondulkiri coffee.

DAY 05 : MONDOLKIRI – KRATIE - MEKONG ISLAND
lunch and dinner included - night in homestay - 4h drive, 225km
Drive through the hills and jungles of Mondulkiri to reach the banks of the Mekong. Walking through the small town of Kratie which remain some vestiges of its colonial architecture. Visit the market before discovering the waterfront bordering the Mekong. (3 hours drive) Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, discovery of the rapids of Kampi. By a local boat, cruise to observe the Irrawaddy dolphins, a protected animal that inhabit this area. Back to Kratie and then take the local ferry and reach an island on the Mekong where you spend the night. Bike ride on the island in bucolic settings. Discovery of a Vietnamese pagoda and sunset on the legendary river. (1h drive, 1h boat, bike 1h)

DAY 06 : KRATIE – LAO BORDER / CAMPING
lunch and dinner included - night in homestay - 4h drive, 190km
Breakfast (tea, coffee, bread, jam, omelet). Drive to Laos! Back to Kratie by local ferry and departure to Stung Treng province (3 hours drive). With your professional captain of navigation, cruise on the Mekong to reach Preah Rumkel located at the Laotian border. Lunch in a community restaurant. You continue your navigation up to rapids before a walk through the forest to reach a natural barrier made of rapids between Cambodia and Laos. Visit a Laotian island with ruins dating from Indochina.. By late afternoon you set up your camp on an island in the Mekong.
Dinner and campfire on the beach of an island in the Mekong. Overnight in a tent on the Island in the Mekong with local comfort. (1.5 hours of sailing, 4 hours drive, 1.5h walk)
DAY 07 : LAO BORDER – STUNG TRENG
lunch and dinner included - night at Stung Treng - 5h cruise
Breakfast (tea, coffee, bread and omelet). At sunrise, cruise to observe the rare Irrawaddy dolphins, then kayaking in the protected flooded forests of Ramsar. Discovery of the rich ecosystem of the area (1 hour sailing, 2 hours kayaking).
Picnic on a beach of the banks of the Mekong.
Visit of a small isolated village and its pagoda full of dolphin bones. Continue your navigation through varied landscapes of forest and beaches (seasonal) to reach Stung Treng by late afternoon. (4 hours sailing)

DAY 08: STUNG TRENG – KOH KER - BENG MEALEA – SIEM REAP
lunch and dinner included - night at Siem Reap - 5h drive, 310km
After breakfast, drive to the province of Preah Vihear on a red track to reach the Koh Ker site, 120 km away from Siem Reap. This ancient Angkorian capital from the 10th century was abandoned and totally isolated, is now accessible by a new access road. The sculptures of the site highlight the Koh Ker style, the most beautiful pieces are exhibited in the National Museum in Phnom Penh. After crossing the Prasat Thom and Prasat Kraham, climb the Prang, the highest pyramid of Cambodia (approx. 55m large, 35 high) At its peak King Jayavarman IV had erected a linga whose sanctuary was never completed. (2,5 hours drive)
Lunch at a local restaurant on site. On the way to Siem Reap, visit of the temple of Beng Mealea. Walk through the ruins of this temple, miniature of Angkor Wat. Installation at your hotel by late afternoon. (2,5 hours drive)

DAY 09 : SIEM REAP
lunch and dinner included - night in Siem Reap - bike 28km
Departure by bike from your hotel. Cross Siem Reap town and the small villages around before discovering the fertile and irrigated areas around the Tonle Sap lake. Visit the pagoda of Wat Chork with multicolored paintings depicting Buddha's life before continuing your journey by a laterite track lined with traditional houses and market garden production. Visit of a village and its local crafts made of palm leaves, sandstone carving and basketry. Meet the elders who still wear the traditional dress and discover the daily life of these small typical Khmer villages. (13km mountain bike)
For the lunch, Cambodian cooking discovery and watch the preparation of your meal : the famous Amok curry and the delicious green mango salad.
In the afternoon, bike ride to the Western Baray, the great Angkorian reservoir of 8km long and 2km wide. Then, through small villages to reach pre-Angkorian archaeological sites. Continue on the Baray dike to reach the bathing place where Cambodian families love to chill out. Fruit tasting, rest in hammocks and swimming before returning to your hotel. (15Km of mountain bike)

DAY 10 : SIEM REAP – PHNOM KULEN / HOMESTAY

Drive to the province of Siem Reap to the hill of Phnom Kulen, the sacred mountain of the Khmer. From the village of Svay Leu, walk on a small path through banana plantations. Visit of the pagoda of Wat Chas located on a pre-Angkorian site.. Picnic lunch. In the afternoon, continue your walk and meet local people. Visit a school before continuing the trail through villages and farmland. Walk in the village where you spend the night.

DAY 11 : PHNOM KULEN – BANTEAY SREI – SIEM REAP
lunch and dinner included - night at Siem Reap - 1,5h drive - 4h walk, 13km
After breakfast, take a dirt track through cashew plantations to meet some of the remains of the ancient city of Mahendraparvata, the city of Jayavarman II. Discovery of Srah Dumrei with its sandstone monoliths representing animals lost in the jungle. Lunch in a local restaurant.
Swimming at the popular waterfall before discovering the river carved with Hindu religious symbols (lingas and yonis). Drive to Siem Reap and stop at Banteay Srei "the citadel of women" carved from pink sandstone. This is one of the most attractive architectural creations built in Cambodia. Back to Siem Reap and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 12 : SIEM REAP - ANGKOR - SIEM REAP
lunch and dinner included - night at Siem Reap - 40min drive - 4h walk, 13,5km
Drive before dawn to reach the archaeological site. Climb to the top of Phnom Bakheng hill, kingdom temple of Yasovarman I and the first construction of Angkor. From the top, dominate the province and admire the sunrise over the Angkor forest leaves exceed the high towers of Angkor Wat. Not far away, find traditional houses that seems straight out of the era of the Angkorian kings. Meet the locals and discover their daily life. Then, walk to Angkor Wat, raised by King Suryavarman II, who reigned over the Kingdom of Cambodia from 1113 to 1152. It is the most prestigious monument of Khmer art that justify its balance proportions and harmony. Picnic lunch at the site.
In the afternoon, walk on forest roads towards the great city of Angkor Thom. You cross an area rich in archaeological sites and secrets. You observe a few ruins before arriving at the enigmatic Gate of the Dead.
King Jayavarman VII had built this great city protected by a laterite wall forming a square of 3 km aside. Then, visit of the Bayon, central temple and symbol of the enigmatic "Angkor smile". The Bayon presents at first glance a blackened stones of disorder and a tangle of some fifty face towers. Visit of the Baphuon, Phimeanakas and the Terrace of the Elephants, where the king and his court attended the games and processions. Back to your hotel by late afternoon.

DAY 13 : SIEM REAP - ANGKOR - SIEM REAP
lunch and dinner included - night at Siem Reap - 30min drive - 1h canoe - 3h walk, 8km - 7km bike
Departure by tuktuk to reach the famous Ta Prohm, the "ancestor Brahma" and enjoy magical moments in this temple embrassed by stone and roots of century-old kapok tree. Rapid transfer to join the laterite track where you begin your walk through the Angkor forest. Stop at the small temple of Ta Nei lost in the jungle and then continue on a dirt track and sand to reach the temple Preah Khan, the sacred sword. Enigmatic from many points of view, it was built by King Jayavarman VII, who dedicated it to his father. It includes the only building with round columns and floor. Picnic lunch.
Cruise on the Baray, huge water tank supplying the moat of Preah Khan and walk along the site of Neak Pean before continuing walking on a forest trail to reach your bikes. Bike ride on the laterite path along the former East Baray, now used as a huge rice field. Crossing villages with bucolic scenery and discover the daily life of local people before arriving by the late afternoon to the temple of Banteay Samre. Visit of the temple of Angkor Wat, which was the capital of the Samres. Transfer to your hotel in Siem Reap by late afternoon. (1 hour walk, 7km from mountain bike on laterite trail)

DAY 14: SIEM REAP - TONLE SAP – BATTAMBANG
Lunch and dinner included - night at Battambang - cruise 6h
Departure to Battambang by public boat (July to March only, April to June the journey will be by road), navigation on Sangker River along the Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary, then cross the villages set on the banks of the river and its many meandering and floating villages of Vietnamese communities that inhabit its lake areas. (6 hours of sailing)
Picnic lunch on the boat.
Arrival in Battambang by early afternoon for a city tour. You will discover the ruins of colonial buildings with the Governor's Mansion and the central market of Psar Nat. By late afternoon, take the bamboo train used by locals as a means of locomotion on the railway dating from the colonial era. Visit a village in the middle of rice fields and its brickyard. On the way back, admire the sunset over the rice fields.

DAY 15 : BATTAMBANG – PURSAT
lunch and dinner included - night at Pursat - 3h drive, 180km
Drive to Phnom Sampeou, the Sampan mountain. Visit the caves and observe a colony of monkeys that inhabits the top. Climb the mountain to discover the Pagodas ad their long golden Stupas. From the top, enjoy the view of the surrounding countryside. (1,5 hour walk, 200m altitude)
Lunch at a local restaurant.
Drive to Pursat province to reach the very charming floating village of Kampong Luong. The dirty road that leads to the Tonle Sap is lined with small houses that local move depending of the fluctuations of the lake. Cruise by local boat to discover Khmer and Vietnamese lakeside villages and the flooded forest nearby, a natural pond. Observation of daily life and numerous shops before going back to the town of Pursat, famous for the stonecutters and the marble.

DAY 16 : PURSAT – KAMPOT

Drive to the Cambodian coast! Departure for Kampot through Kampong Chhnang and Kampong Speu. Visit a traditional potter's village of Kampong Chhnang still making pottery that can be found in the engravings of the Angkor temples.
Lunch in a local restaurant. By late afternoon, cruise on a traditional boat to discover the beautiful meanders and the peaceful life of the Cham communities living near the river

DAY 17 : KAMPOT - KEP - KAMPOT
lunch and dinner included - night at Kampot - 2h drive, 60km
Departure from your hotel by private vehicle to reach Kep, its pepper and fruit trees plantations. You continue with the visit of Kep Crab Market before boarding a fishing boat to reach the Rabbit island and its beautiful beaches.
Picnic seafood on the island.
Free afternoon to rest and swim.Back to Kampot by late afternoon and transfer to your hotel.

DAY 18 : KAMPOT – BOTUN SAKOR

You leave the Kampot province by vehicle to reach the peninsula of Botum Sakor that have kept intact the charm of the past many deserted islands of Gulf of Thailand despite the new projects. Leave your guide before boarding a small traditional boat to reach your hotel (20 minutes navigation).
