The walk on these shimmering waters lasts about 1h30, the natural wild landscape reflects tranquillity, the limestone cliffs are rocked by the waters like islets and the birds seem to swirl from trees to cliffs.... (Replacing Tam Coc, which has become too touristy).

Visit of "Bich Dong" pagoda (Jade pagoda), a sanctuary within the rock. It houses three small and old pagodas built at the beginning of the 18th century on three different levels. From above, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the fields and the surrounding countryside.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 05 : NINH BINH > HALONG BAY

Breakfast at your hotel.

Departure for Halong Bay, made famous by the film "Indochina". Its landscape is marked by the 1969 karst islands that have now been renowned and listed as World Heritage List.

Ha Long Bay extends over more than 1,500 km2. It has nearly 2,000 islands and islets, karst reefs full of caves that rise from the sea like strange sculptures. The sampans and junks that silently slide on the transparent waters reinforce this impression of unreality. Ha Long means "the descending dragon" in Vietnamese. The legend has it that a great dragon once left its den in the mountains to throw itself into the sea, digging deep cracks in the ground with its tail. When he dived into the ocean, the water submerged the crevasses, creating a multitude of islands.

Embarkation around noon on your junk and installation in your cabin. Your cruise then begins in the labyrinth of sugar loaves of the bay. The setting is magical: 2,000 islands and islets dot its clear emerald waters.

Welcome drink followed by lunch. Visit of a natural cave. Superb panoramic view of the bay at sunset.

Dinner and overnight aboard your junk under the stars, somewhere...in the East Sea.

Possible activities on board the junk:

• If the weather allows to, you can learn about squid fishing. You will feel like a real fisherman. Members of staff will give you some hints and then you may enjoy the cooked tasty squids.
• Relaxation on deck: relax on the deck by admiring the beauty of Halong Bay or by admiring the dawn and dusk on the bay. Sunrise and sunset on the bay will remain unforgettable moments.
• In addition: possibility of kayaking (1 kayak for 2 people)
• The water in Halong Bay is quite warm even in winter, so kayaking is a pleasant experience all year round. Try to keep your balance and paddle around for a beautiful adventure in the middle of a magical landscape.
